The Founder

My Story

Hello! My name is Chef Mocha D, I live in Atlanta, GA, and welcome to my website! 
 

I began my professional journey in 2015 as an English teacher in Spain and studied in Madrid to receive my masters degree in International Education, but I am in no stranger to the kitchen. I have been cooking since I was 8 years old. After a long career in education overseas, I grew tired of the field and sought to pursue my long time passion of being a professional cook.

After months of selling chicken wing plates from my apartment, I boldly quit my job, sublet my apartment, and moved to Haifa, Israel for a 3 month sabbatical. While there to clear my head from career woes and the uncertainties of what my future held, I worked as a kitchen apprentice for a non- profit organization working to decrease food waste by creating meals from rescued fruit and vegetables.

At the end of my fulfilling time there I relocated back to Spain and started throwing cultural events centered on my chicken wings at a local bar. My first event ever was an all you can eat chicken and waffle brunch party. Due to its wide spread success, it gave way to the idea to return to America and pursue a long term business plan. 

Birthed in the capital city of Spain, At Last Alitas was created from a passion for cooking, a love of cultural exchange, and a desire to provide a piece of home amongst American expatriates who missed Southern American soul food. I take pride in the work that I do and the freedom to be creative in my art.

At Last Alitas Brunch 

The Ultimate Brunch Experience 

At Last Alitas Brunch started as an all you can eat chicken and waffle day party in Madrid, Spain every first and third Sunday of the month. It has now evolved into a pop up shop experience in Atlanta, GA.


Located in the Underground on 50 Upper Alabama Street SW Suite 85, we have evolved our brunch day party experience into a mobile quick food! Now serving chicken and waffle kebab sticks.
